Where it all began
Established in 1928 during the golden era of classic American lakeside resorts, Sandy Point quickly became a beloved destination for families seeking a peaceful waterfront escape on Lake Winnipesaukee.
What started as a few cottages grew into a charming lakeside retreat. Families returned year after year, building traditions around mornings on the lake, afternoons on the beach, and evenings around the fire pit.
For nearly a century, the resort remained in the care of the same family, who lovingly maintained its welcoming atmosphere and authentic New England character.

The Boccelli Chapter.
Joe Boccelli carried a dream for nearly 50 years: to create a place where his family could gather, where traditions could grow, and where memories could be made year after year.
Together with Janet, their three children, and nine grandchildren, the Boccellis have poured themselves into a full renovation. New interiors, new furnishings, and the most visible change: bright, cheerful yellow cabins that catch the morning sun.
The beach. The docks. The view. Everything that mattered in the first place is still here. The Boccellis just let Sandy Point be its best self.

Joe and Janet Boccelli have been married for 46 years, building a life rooted in hard work and an entrepreneurial spirit. Together they raised three children and now have nine grandchildren who inspire everything they do.
Becoming stewards of Sandy Point is the fulfillment of a dream Joe carried for nearly 50 years: a place where generations could gather, traditions could grow, and memories could be made.
